Concur with all positive previous comments: you're clear, you explain rule elements while playing as well as why you do things, the post-editing work is fantastic, with cards pop-up and zoom-ins on actions that help tremendously to follow, and the whole video lasts less than one hour. Make more ! 🙏🤩

I understand that the game also allows solo playthrough. What do you think about that variant? Is it really a game suitable for solo mode or do you think it doesn't work too well that way?

This reminds me of merchants and Marauders . Where your having to wait 10-15 min on a players turn . Then when it gets to you and you do a simple move action . Then you’re stuck waiting 30 min before it gets back to you ! No thanks!!!

Ok now I need Thunderworks to release a game where factions from Ulos invade Cape May through a portal and it turns into an area control game 😂

Grimcoven will be superior. I dont understand that card laying out in Blood will be fun. If you play less yes the boss will do less. But fellow players also get less turns. I have not seen a playthrough what changed mine view on this. Also still alot of icons. Which makes it hard for some people. Specialy when introducing new players.

How do you indicate stun irl? Flipping a figure upside down won’t be good irl.

Seeing more differentiated and complex heroes is definitely going to push me towards getting this. With the push on flip cards and equipment, the heroes are really starting to look very unique and that's really going to spice up the game a lot. On the other hand, it feels like the first kickstarter stuff feels almost boring and obsolete.

Appreciate the content guys, keep it up. And of those 4 games, three of them were on my radar but Wastelands with the screen printed meeples is the one im backing. Also for what its worth, i like the box artwork. Theres alot to take in in the fine details of that artwork.

I will add this to my 2 player wishlist. I’ve enjoyed Splendor but don’t own it. I know enough others with it. I really like Bruno C. As a game designer, so I’m looking forward to trying this game. The card arrangement displayed in your video reminds me a bit of of 7 Wonders Duel, which is a great 2 player game!

I love comic books and I am 100% more into DC than Marvel but I do really like Marvel (I just love DC) The Heroes I wanna see in this game: Green Lantern Booster Gold Animal Man. I can see some fun mechanisms with his animal channeling power Martian Manhunter Blue Beetle Captain Marvel Teen Titans John Constantine The Question Firestorm Lobo I mean just add them all.

Reminds me a lot of how the bloodborne board game functions with a mix of the God of War card game.

I’m curious about Hexplore It, but I feel like I’m way too late to the party. So it’s a pass for me. IV Games has some impressive production in their games, but I’m never interested in the gameplay. Kemet is sitting on my shelf of shame. I hope to get it to the table before the end of this new campaign!

Again, I’m going to 4 prerelease events… it will be a long weekend, but fun.

Rise of the Wastelands looks interesting and you did mention the box cover art could use some work. However, my argument is with the color palette used for the game. The wooden pieces and minis are nice but pastel colors in a post apocalyptic theme just doesnt make sense.

This game looks flat out GORGIOUS! Perhaps may even be the game Lacrimosa wished it could have been. The worker placement looks very nifty and innovative, but I have concerns it will make the game too chaotic. My main concern is with the start player determining the order of things (and not so much the hidden value aspect). Granted, traditional worker placement allows for players to visit various areas and THEY pick their order of operations. But I see a lot of opportunities where turns can be severely hampered (even when trying to guess the motives of the 1st player). There was an older Ystari game called "Ys" that had a similar (and super fun) hidden worker placement / bidding element. That was a feature I really enjoyed, while providing neat "meta-gaming" experience I imagine may also be present here. It's usually a treat when a game does something completely different. It's a risk I often wish publishers and designers would take more often, yet here I am voicing a concern before even played. I hope I'm wrong, because other than that this looks like a winner IMO. Maybe this is a game that plays better with less player counts?

Have recently bought Wyrmspan and I always do the teach for the family. Loved the video, it was really clear what you were doing and was amusing to watch your chemistry too. Looking forward to getting this to the table this afternoon. Thanks guys

Have you guys ever considered making a King of Tokyo TTRPG? I could see it having a simple system like Steve Jackson's Toon, where you design your own kaiju and then either compete with your friends in various ways, or team up to battle enemies.

I would like to see them alter the art work on the tiles so its not so jumbled up and at least give them an outline/brighten it up. Then some balancing and we got a good game.

As a father of two daughters and a Christian, Nightshift is certainly not a game for me. That being said, the creator is well within their rights to produce and make a product they feel proud of and consumers are free to support it or not support it. I certainly have opinions on this theme as someone who wants to see people valued for their character and not their appearance or sex appeal. That being said, clubs like what are being depicted do exist and there is a large population that take part in it. I simply don’t care for the harm that takes place in that industry as a whole. If people want to detach themselves and view this game as a fun experience, they have every right. Just as there are a lot of violent games that nobody thinks twice about. Themes may resonate or not. It’s the real world harm that I have witnessed in industries that are near those depicted in the aforementioned game that I have a hard time detaching from. This is just my perspective, no judgements.

This was the first video I saw from you, and I just HAVE to compliment you on your voice, and the way you talk in general, coming from someone who's first language is not english. This video was a delight to listen to, it didn't feel rushed, or like you were just trying to get it over with. Just very calm and kind vibes. You really highlighted the key points of this game, and truly it's just such a beautiful game isn't it! I wish it was more widely available, it's almost impossible to buy this here in Europe.
